Asheville

Asheville already knows the work.

Being fluent in transformation and being transformed are not the same thing.

This is one of the few places I work where I do not have to explain what somatic means. People here have sat in ceremony, done breathwork, held space, been held. The literacy is genuinely high and the community around it is real.

Which creates a very particular problem. When you have spent years in expanded states, it becomes possible to go extremely far up and still not be able to stay in your own hips on an ordinary Tuesday. Transcendence is available. Ordinary embodied contact with the person you live with is somehow not.

Spiritual bypassing is the usual name for it, and it is not a failure of sincerity. It is what happens when the practices available to you all point upward and outward, and the thing that needs attention is lower down and closer in.

The work

Grounded work, not expanded states.

I work with breath, and I created a group method built entirely from it, so I am not going to argue against expansion. It is real and it matters.

But expansion is not integration, and the two get confused constantly. You can have a genuinely enormous experience on a Saturday and be exactly as unavailable to your partner on Monday. If anything, the bigger the experience, the easier it is to mistake having felt something for having changed something.

What I do goes the other direction. Down into the pelvis, the belly, the throat. Into sensation that is small and specific rather than vast. Into what actually happens in your body when your partner reaches for you and you do not want to be reached for, and what it takes to stay there anyway.

That is much less impressive than a peak state. It is also the part that holds.

Who I work with

The people I see from Asheville.

Four patterns come up again and again here.

Couples fluent in the work and distant in the bed

Both of them practised, both articulate, neither reaching. Rekindle is the six month container for this.

Men who can hold space and not receive

Excellent at attending to others, unpractised at being attended to. The work with men.

Women who went up instead of in

Deep spiritual practice, and a pelvis that has not been visited in years. Somatic work for women.

Practitioners who need their own practitioner

A large part of my work here. Holding others is not the same as being held, and it does not substitute for it.

How I work

The four modalities behind every session.

I am a VITA Certified Sex, Love and Relationship Coach, a Certified Men's Sexuality Coach, a Certified Couple's Tantric Sex Coach, and a Certified Theta Healer. Nine years of practice, more than a hundred workshops and private sessions. In any given hour I am usually drawing on all four of these at once.

Somatic work

Soma means body. Somatic work treats the body as the place where your history is stored rather than a thing you carry your thoughts around in. We work with sensation, breath, movement and attention rather than analysis.

Tantra

Not what the internet thinks it is. Tantra is a set of practices for staying present with intensity, in the body, without leaving. Most of it has nothing to do with sex. All of it changes sex.

Theta Healing

Working at the level of subconscious belief, where the rules you never agreed to are actually kept. Certified through Basic DNA, Advanced DNA, Dig Deeper, Manifesting and Abundance, and You and Your Significant Other.

Breathwork

The fastest route into the nervous system that exists. Breath changes state within minutes, which is why almost every session uses it, and why my group method Soulsation is built entirely from it.

A session

What actually happens.

Sessions run 1.5 hours, over private video call, and are always fully clothed. There is no nudity and no touch. The work happens through breath, sensation, voice and attention.

Not therapy

For people who hold space professionally.

A meaningful proportion of my Asheville clients do this work themselves. Facilitators, bodyworkers, therapists, guides.

It is genuinely difficult to receive when receiving is not the role you know how to occupy. You watch the method while it is happening to you. You manage the practitioner a little. You stay slightly ahead of the process because that is where you normally sit.

I am used to that and I work with it directly rather than around it. Sessions with practitioners are confidential and I do not need you to arrive as a beginner.

Common questions

Before you book.

Are you based in Asheville?

I work internationally and see clients across the United States and beyond. Sessions with Asheville clients are held online over private video call, which is how the large majority of my clients anywhere work with me.

Does online really work for body based coaching?

Yes, and it surprises people. The body responds to attention, not proximity. There is also something about doing this from your own space, in your own home, that often makes it easier to let go than a clinical room would.

Is this therapy?

No. Therapy tends to work through talking and analysis. This works through the body and the nervous system, where desire and safety actually live. I am a VITA certified coach and a certified Theta Healer, not a licensed therapist. If what you need is therapy, or therapy alongside this, I will say so.

Is there nudity or touch?

No. Sessions are always fully clothed, and there is no touch. The work happens through breath, sensation, movement, voice and attention. Everything you learn, you can take into your own bed with your own partner.

What if my partner is not sure about this?

That is normal. Very often one person reaches first. Plenty of the work I do starts with one partner and widens later, and plenty of it stays with one person and still changes the relationship.

What does it cost?

Session and container pricing sits on the coaching page. The discovery call is free.
